One Day Dinner #3

There are various Italian restaurants to introduce in Ichikawa, Chiba.

As I talked about that we are lately into the Gorgonzola spaghetti in the article of One Day Dinner #1, we found a different Gorgonzola and my favorite tomato based spaghetti.

Matsuo" Ichikawa, Chiba

 Salad

Sliced cheese on the roast duck meat with balsamic vinegar sauce. It should be some spinach I guess.

Personally, I loved this salad so much, especially the cheese, meat, and sauce.

Margherita, Pizza

As a side dish, we ordered a small sized pizza, which has a thin crust.

Tomato based sauce spaghetti with Japanese scallops and shrimps (sliced)

It includes some sliced zucchini too.
Personally, I was kind of surprised at the sliced scallops because we usually eat not-sliced ones, but of course it was delicious and not too much taste.

Gorgonzola spaghetti with bacon

He ordered our favorite, Gorgonzola.
This spaghetti is very flat. Although the penne style we had for the first time was totally different from this, this is also a very deep sauce taste and we enjoyed this delicious moment so much.

Wine
"Cono Sur"  Made in Chile

This is easy to buy and a very good full-body wine.
Its taste is strong and well matching with food for me, so that I had drunk it more and more although usually I cannot drink alcohol so much.

The restaurant "Matsuo" is very near the Ichikawa station, it should be within 4 mins on foot.

It has a lot of dishes so that we must go eat there again very soon.
"Gorgonzola Omelet" will be our target for the next time.
We very recommend this restaurant.

One Day Dinner #2

Japanese curry is one of the most popular dishes in Japan.
It is commonly served with rice, which is so-called "curry rice".

Here I'm going to introduce one of the curry restaurant chains with an unique style.

What is so unique? - it is just like a camping food with many kinds of very fresh vegetables, as if you are camping outside.

This time we went to the one in the Shinagawa station.
I felt it is like a fast food but very impressed how yummy it is.

“Camp Express” In Shinagawa, Tokyo, etc

The Most Recommended & Popular
 "Curry of Daily Intake Vegetables"

See that "spoon" shaped like a shovel and that camping pan.

you can obtain more than 350g = 12.3 oz amounts of vegetables.

- Tomato, Yellow tomato, Okra, Zucchini (Courgette), Shishito pepper, Eggplant, Onion, Green pepper, Red Pepper Yellow pepper, Potato, Sweet potato, cabbage, Komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach), etc.
- Curry includes some minced meat.

You can choose other "toppings" such as chicken, eggs, cheese, etc.

There is also an option of extra rice with free charge.
Normal one is still a large amount for me though.

Lassi

It is a yogurt-based drink. You can have some alcohol drinks too.

In Tokyo, "Camp Express" is placed in Yoyogi (a head restaurant), Ikebukuro, Shinagawa.

One Day Dinner #1

My bf and I are often exploring any kind of restaurant.

Lately we are into spaghetti especially Gorgonzola, which is one of the world's oldest blue-veined cheeses.

I also love tomato based one with a garlic, so we usually order different tastes and sharing each other.

“Trattoria La Elba” In Ichikawa City, Chiba

Salad

grilled eggplants, red peppers, raw salmon, sliced tomato on other veggies.

Spaghetti

Tomato based spaghetti with a thick bacon and garlic.

Penne

This Gorgonzola penne impressed us and made us into the Gorgonzola World.

Dessert

Tiramisu, baked caramel pudding, and tea with milk.

This Restaurant, Elba, has a very relaxed atmosphere, but also makes us feel like home nicely.

Of course, foods were very delicious, so that our exploring for Italian has just begun..

Ichikawa City is very close to Tokyo and Tokyo station where it takes about 25 mins from Ichikawa station, so you can visit here easily.

♡Attended a Happy Wedding Last Saturday♡

Last Saturday, February 8 2014, I attended my friend's weeding ceremony and reception.

In Japan it's usual to have a wedding ceremony at a small church-ish place in inside of a hotel because women dream of wearing the white beautiful wedding dress!
**i called it "church-ish" because the ceremony takes only 5 mins or within 10 mins.

Ceremony

My friend called Asuka and her father...

kissing on her cheek is lately getting common in Japan for a vow kiss.

It's a scene of a flower shower. This flower is made of...

some "Mickeies"!!!

My friend and her husband are loving Disney resort so much, so that their wedding reception was totally made of lots of Disney.

 Reception

Mickey and Minnie balloons with us. see the Mickey shaped bag, it is a handmade one.

Me wearing kimono called "furisode (振袖)" which only young and single woman can wear at any formal place.

Mike and me wearing normal dress.

This Disney decorative cake is a custom made cake for the first cut and first bite.

We are posing "8" "7" "5" with our hands because these numbers represent our group nickname when lived at the same dormitory.

What a great smile!!!!!!! How sweet they are...

Me and the bride..

In the reception there is an entertainment performance for them. Old friends are dancing, singing, or something, it depends on the reception.

We decided to make a memories movie for about 10 years with our celebration messages.
It was successful and i could see her tears run through cheeks.

Some pictures we've taken for her are here!

We went to the Tokyo Disney Sea to obtain their greetings for her! Of course these message cards and hearts are not made in Disney haha

Our Message board. Can you see the "LOVE YOU ♡" in it?
These are ALL handmade stuff.

After Party

My favorite shot

My nearest river is called Edo river (Edo Gawa).

When it's a sunny day and the view is so clear, you can see Mt. Fuji from the river just next to the Tokyo Skytree.
This is the best shot I've taken ever!

It is also a very good place to walk along the Edo river, so that you can feel nature in this crowded urban life of Tokyo.

Can you see Ft. Fuji at the center of the picture below?

The right tower is Tokyo Skytree which is the highest one in Japan.

JUST LOVING THE PILLOW...

This is our cat, Hisashi, usually we call him "He (or he-chan)" as a nickname.

"He" is loving the white pillow.

Me: awwwee, you're so cute..

HE: ...me?

YES, you are!

THE FRESHEST SEAFOOD IN TOKYO

During this weekend, we went to Tsukiji which is the place you can have the freshest and the most delicious seafood such as Sushi in Tokyo.

The food we had is called "Kaisen don", which means fresh fishes over sushi rice in the big bowl.

Red caviar (at the left), raw tuna (at the right), and sea urchin sushi (at the center).
The green one at the center below is a traditional spice called "wasabi".
The leaf at the top is a seasoned leaf perilla called "shiso".

 yummy...

...with a Miso soup in which some fishes were boiled.

Do you wanna know about Tsukiji Town (Tsukiji Market)?
